Gator Softball

On Wednesday, May 17th, 2017, the Gators lost to Otto-Eldred 2-1.  Makenzie Burr pitched a three-hitter and had four strike-outs and gave out no walks.  Otto-Eldred will make it to the District 9 playoffs.


On Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, the Gators lost to Galeton 5-3.  Makenzie Burr finished with 12 strikeouts and two walks.  Jenna Sprankle hit an RBI double, while Erin Stauffer finished 2-for-4.



On Friday, May 12th, 2017, the Gators beat Oswayo Valley 11-10.  Cailey Barnett drilled a two-run home run and had six RBI.  Cailey Barnett went 3-for-4.  Jenna Sprankle was 2-for-4 and belted a two-run triple.  Makenzie Burr scattering 13 hits, two strikeouts, and two walks.


On May 10th, 2017, the Gators beat Bradford 7-2.  MaKenzie Burr had one RBI in the first inning.  Hannah Lathrop had a two-run double in the third.  Then two batters later, Cailey Barnett drove in another run on an RBI ground out to second.  MaKenzie finished with 2 strikeouts.  Hannah Lathrop had a big hit in the sixth, driving in two more runs on a bloop single that landed perfectly in between three Bradford fielders.  The Gators added another run in the top of the seventh.


On April 21st, 2017, the Gators had a tournament in Bolivar-Richburg.  For the first game the Gators lost to Bolivar-Richburg 8-3.  MaKenzie Burr went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.  In the second game the Gators won against Cuba-Rushford 4-1.  MaKenzie Burr allowed only three hits while striking out three and walking three.  Jenna Sprankle went 2-for-3 and Hannah Lathrop went 1-for-4.  Both drove in runs for the Gators.


On April 12th, 2017, the Gators lost to Coudy 13-2. Coudy scored  10 unearned runs and wiped out an early 2-0 deficit.  MaKenzie Burr went 2-for-3 and she put the Gators on top in the bottom of the first.

On March 27th, 2017, the Gators lost to Northern Potter 4-3.

On March 29th, 2017, the Gators lost to Oswayo Valley 8-7.

On April 3rd, 2017, the Gators beat Galeton 4-1.

On April 6th, 2017, the Gators beat Smethport.

On April 10th, 2017, the Gators lost to Cameron County 5-2.  Hannah Lathrop put the Lady Gators ahead in the top of the first, hitting a two-run home run. Lathrop finished 1-for-4 and Erin Stauffer 2-for-4.  MacKenzie Burr was the pitcher for the Gators.  She had 10 hits, 3 strikeouts, and 3 walks.
